World Whistleblower Day 2022

23rd June is World Whistleblowers Day (WWD). At WhistleblowersUK we celebrate whistleblowers everyday but we will be calling on the Government to dedicate a day to recognise whistleblowers. A day to celebrate those courageous people who come forward, do the right thing and in too many cases pay a high price.

We would like to use WWD to recognise everyone who speaks up and thank them, giving a special mention to over 2,500 who have continued to contact us in support of the Bill. Whistleblowers are the unsung heroes around the world, the majority of whose names do not make it to the press but nevertheless their actions help prevent harm and all forms of crime. Today is another opportunity to destigmatise whistleblowing and celebrate the efforts of our team and trailblazers like Baroness Kramer, Mary Robinson MP, chair of the APPG for Whistleblowing, Stephen Kerr MSP, Jeremy Hunt MP and Dame Maria Miller MP all of whom have taken a very public stand for  whistleblowers.

We need you to demonstrate your support too.

WhistleblowersUK is the only whistleblowing organisation that has developed legislation that IS WORKING ITS WAY through Parliament. But our work is not over and we need your help to continue to raise funds to ensure that we can keep up with the demands of leading the campaign to make whistleblowing work. https://www.wbuk.org/donate
