The Whistleblowing Bill
The Office of the Whistleblower Bill would require the establishment of a new body to provide guidance and support to whistleblowers, amongst other things.
Why is this Bill Essential?
Because whistleblowing is not an employment issue. Whistleblowers face punishment, not protection. Regulators look away, the law works against them, and wrongdoers walk free. This silence enables crime. It must end.
8.3
million in compensation paid to whistleblowers in 2020.
56
of workers are unsure of their employer’s whistleblowing procedures.
3,000
whistleblowing cases reported annually in the UK.
