Whistleblowing is no longer a niche compliance issue. It is now a board-level priority linked directly to corporate governance, regulatory scrutiny, ESG reporting, and public trust.
Across financial services, tech, healthcare and higher education, organisations are under increasing pressure to demonstrate that employees can speak up safely and that concerns are acted on responsibly.
Whistleblowing Awareness Month (16 June – 16 July 2026) is the UK’s leading annual forum dedicated to strengthening speak-up culture and advancing whistleblowing policy and practice brought together by WhistleblowersUK. It is a showcase for leaders in ethical governance and whistleblowers who have shaped the discussions about the importance of speaking up.
Last years event attracted huge crowds and provided an opportunity to help shape the UK’s whistleblowing framework. We made many new friends and those who attended told us how engaging the sessions were and that they took away knowledge that gave them confidence to develop ideas for their organisations, practice or policy department.
Whistleblowing prevents fraud but despite excellent policies, procedures and platforms workers still report that they don’t trust them. #WAM2026 will help organisations to improve their confidence to be proactive in a meaningful and impactful way.
Now in its fourth year, the programme brings together Parliamentarians, regulators, senior industry leaders and whistleblowers for a series of high-level events held across the Parliamentary Estate, supported and hosted by the Rt Hon Baroness Kramer and colleagues from across the political spectrum.
Previous speakers include: Baroness Margaret Hodge, Lord James Arbuthnot, Kevin Hollinrake MP, Tessa Munt MP, Flora Page KC, Randy Harwell (US Department of Justice), Mark Steward (FCA), Minister Oleksandr Vassiuk (Ukraine), Senator David Shoebridge (Australia), Stephen Kohn (Chair NWC) and whistleblowers; Zelda Perkins CBE, Jayne Senior MBE, Pav Gill, Alexandra Williams, Dr Peter Duffy and Christen Ager-Hanssen.
If you are ready to Engage directly with policymakers and regulators to shape the future of whistleblowing now is your opportunity as we are still shortlisting speakers. Simply email us and tell us what you would like to speak about and why you support whistleblowing.
These event lead to real change.
