Hats off to the team at Blind Justice led by Edward Romain who happens to also be chair of our WhistleblowersUK Legal Panel and author of the Amazon No1 best seller ‘Alone in Court’.
On Friday the SRA capitulated.
What this exceptional decision means,
“This opens up the door for every concerned claimant whose concerns have been rejected by the regulator.”
Georgina Halford-Hall CEO WhistleblowersUK
This decision comes in the wake of the concession by the FCA last week to conduct a review of its treatment of whistleblowers and the capitulation by the Government on the 12th October to engage with us and the public in a review of our shambolic whistleblowing framework.
These decisions or indeed U Turns demonstrate that people power can work and after too long and much injustice the public has a once in a lifetime opportunity to give its opinion on our proposals for an Office of the Whistleblower and the questions of incentives for whistleblowers. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/6ac909a7b8542d3693fd4282/a-consultation-on-whistleblowing.pdf
