Everyday newspaper headlines celebrate the whistleblowers who despite the fear of retaliation are still prepared to risk everything to prevent harm by exposing scandals; the Post Office, contaminated blood, rape gangs, party gate, maternity, mis selling and PPE…. Many of these whistleblowers are forced into the employment tribunal where 96-99% fail because existing law is failing. The Office of the Whistleblower and Duty of Candour Bills will transform the UK whistleblowing framework introducing accountability and meaningful protection for the whistleblower. Baroness Susan Kramer and Ian Byrne MP will be setting the scene for a week of events that showcase the work being done by Parliamentarians and campaigners to promote and celebrate whistleblowing as good for society and good for business. This event is a unique opportunity to hear from the experts behind these bills, how you can get involved in the campaign and what you need to do to be ready for change.
