Justice Delayed – Justice Denied

By 25 June 2026No Comments2 min read

Join our esteemed panel chaired by Tessa Munt MP, vice chair of WhistleblowersUK registration via the website https://wbuk.org/wam-2026-programme/

Iain Mitchell KC, chair of the WBUK Legal Panel describes the event;

“With the Office of the Whistleblower not yet a reality and with already overburdened Employment Tribunals finding it difficult to cope with the volume of cases, is there an immediate improvement that will enable whistleblowing cases to be resolved and court backlogs to be reduced?

This event looks at why ACAS conciliation, and existing schemes of Judicial Mediation have failed to deliver speedy and fair outcomes at low cost, and considers the role that might be played by other forms of alternative dispute resolution, including Mediation, both in dealing with whistleblowing and other employment claims and in resolving disputes in the workplace before they even become Claims.”

Iain Mitchell KC will be explaining how ADR creates efficiency savings as part of an Office of the Whistleblower and why changes to NDA’s will prevent wrongdoing from being swept under the carpet. Iain will be joined on the panel by Ruth Neil an employment solicitor at the Work Right Centre a charity that provides access to justice for low paid workers, Lawrence Davies, CEO of Equal Justice solicitors who has advocated on many high stakes whistleblowing and discrimination cases and Frederick Way, Mediator and Lead Trainer of the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution who has worked with some of the largest companies in the UK and internationally.

Spaces are limited but please come along and join this important and interesting discussion. The outcome will form part of our ongoing call to evidence and will be incorporated into our submission to the forthcoming government consultation on the Whistleblowing Framework.
