Whistleblowing Awareness Month #WAM2026

By 3 June 2026No Comments2 min read

Until recently we were rarely approached by whistleblowing about the environment but since the article last year when our CEO Georgina Halford-Hall spoke to Hannah Wendland of LEXOLOOGY about the role of whistleblowing and how it fits into corporate governance and ESG which focused on the environment things have changed. We are now receiving inquiries and requests for help from agriculture, fishing, shipping and the nuclear industry. Which is why we have engaged with passionate environmentalist Richard Parlour in this years annual Whistleblowing Awareness Event in Westminster. Tickets for the event on 24th June can be reserved via our website. (Link at the bottom of the page)

Here is a snippet of the article by Hannah Wendland:

“ESG and whistleblowing, or ‘speaking up’, are a match made in heaven as they sit hand in glove.
For organisations that instinctively embrace ethical culture, evaluating your ESG effectiveness should be an affirmation of good work and an opportunity to celebrate and reinforce a commitment to support those who do the right thing,”

Georgina Halford-Hall, CEO of
WhistleblowersUK, tells Lexology PRO

The 4th Annual Event starts in 2 weeks time. Please don’t miss the opportunity to join one of the round table discussions. This year in addition to Health, Banking and Tech we will be looking more closely at the environment with the help of expert wildlife and environment campaigner Richard Parlour CEO of FMLI and member of the B20 integrity and compliance task force. Richard’s career in compliance and regulation has taken him around the globe where he has seen first hand the impact of neglecting the environment. As a passionate environmentalist Richard and has been studying Terracide, and will be inviting the room to join the conversation discussing with a group of experts issues of environmental crime and the cost to society of ignoring it.

The discussion chaired by Baroness Jenny Jones will ask the panel and the room what role can an Office for the Whistleblower play in saving our planet.
